Aims

 

EXIST aims to improve the start-up climate at universities and non-university research institutions. In addition, the number and success of technology-oriented and knowledge-based start-ups should be increased.

To this end, the BMWi supports university graduates, scientists and students in the preparation of their technology-oriented and knowledge-based start-ups. In addition, since 1998 EXIST has promoted a lively and sustainable start-up culture at public and private universities.

 

EXIST generally starts in the pre-start-up phase of company start-ups and comprises three funding program lines:

 

  • EXIST start-up culture supports universities in formulating a holistic, university-wide strategy for start-up culture and entrepreneurship and implementing it sustainably and visibly.

  • EXIST start-up scholarship supports the preparation of innovative technology-oriented and knowledge-based start -up projects by students, graduates and academics.

  • EXIST research transfer supports both the necessary development work to demonstrate the technical feasibility of research-based start-up ideas and the necessary preparations for the start of the company.

 

Who is funded?

 

  • Scientists from public, non-profit organizations

    • non-university research institutions

    • Universities

  • University graduates and former research assistants (up to five years after graduation or leaving).

  • Students who have completed at least half of their studies at the time of application, whereby the majority of the team cannot consist of students.

  • Founding teams up to max. three persons.

  • One of the up to three team members can also be supported with qualified vocational training as a technical assistant. A team member may also have graduated more than five years ago.

Das Projekt „beyourpilot“ ist ein Zusammenschluss von Hamburgs größten Hochschulen und das Deutsche Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) um Gründungen von Wissenschaftlern effektiv zu fördern und zu unterstützen. Projektpartner sind die Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (HAW Hamburg), die Technische Universität Hamburg (TUHH) sowie die Universität Hamburg (UHH). Koordinator ist die Hamburg Innovation GmbH, finanziert wird das Angebot durch die Behörde für Wirtschaft und Innovation (BWI) der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg.

Tenzir GmbH

 

Tenzir protects against attacks from cyberspace. Conventional security solutions often do not offer sufficient security against the growing business of criminal hackers.
